WWW Wednesdays (3 August 2022)! What are you reading this week? #WWWWednesdays

Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words, the revamped take on of the meme hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm. It’s open for anyone to join in and is a great way to share what you’ve been reading!

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading?

So I started The Dance Cure whilst I was reading The Divinities as (I may have mentioned before) when I read a tree book, I have an e-book for the nights when I’m awake with the dawn chorus (amongst other reasons). This book I picked up in July’s monthly deals as I’m interested in the different mood enhancers and dancing (even if it is like a loon around the kitchen) does perk me up! Here’s the blurb:

Humans are born to dance. And in today’s sedentary world, we would all benefit from doing more of it. Science shows that just ten minutes of dancing provides a thorough work out for the body and brain, raising the heartbeat to cause a release of feel-good endorphins, connecting us to our emotions and reducing our stress levels. Dancing quite simply makes us feel more alive.

Dr Peter Lovatt, a former professional dancer turned dance psychologist, has spent the past two decades studying why we dance and what it does for us, and is on a personal mission to make dancing as natural an activity in our daily lives as walking or drinking coffee.

Filled with fascinating case studies from his research as well as great stories from dance history, The Dance Cure will inspire even those who think they can’t dance to turn the music on, get up on the floor and dance themselves happy.

What have I recently finished reading?

Just the two books this week. I finished off The It Girl which I really enjoyed and will be going back to Ruth Ware’s other books. You can catch my review of The It Girl on Friday.

Then I headed to Bradford and the world of DI Gus McGuire. You can see what I thought of Liz Mistry’s Unjust Bias on Sunday!

What am I reading next?!?

I’m undecided whether to stick to my planned reads or have a cheat read. I’ve got next week off with the family so it could go one of two ways: either I read as normal or I whizz through a few books. Only time will tell (and the next two weeks’ #WWWWednesday posts of course)….

So guys, what have you been reading??
