Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday!
WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words, the revamped take on of the meme hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm. It’s open for anyone to join in and is a great way to share what you’ve been reading!
The Three Ws are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What am I currently reading?
I’ve had Strangers on my reading pile for a couple of years (it’s also been lurking on my Netgalley shelf). I love Cally Taylor’s books so I’ve decided it’s time to read Strangers! Here’s the blurb:
Ursula, Gareth and Alice have never met before.
Ursula thinks she killed the love of her life.
Gareth’s been receiving strange postcards.
And Alice is being stalked.
None of them are used to relying on others – but when the three strangers’ lives unexpectedly collide, there’s only one thing for it: they have to stick together. Otherwise, one of them will die.
Three strangers, two secrets, one terrifying evening.
The million-copy bestseller returns with a gripping new novel that will keep you guessing until the end.
What have I recently finished reading?
Yes yes yes, it was another five book week but in my defence, I’ve not been feeling the best (some sort of virus thing – been testing negative so it’s not THAT virus 🤞🤞) so I’ve been exceptionally lazy and it’s been a four day weekend.
I whizzed through The Cutting Season on Wednesday night which I reviewed on Thursday.
As Begars Abbey is/was a tree book read, I tend to have a kindle book on the go for my nocturnal reading. Somehow, in my ill state, I forgot that and devoured two books from Colleen Coleman, one of which One Way Or Another, I reviewed on Saturday.
After finished Begars Abbey and still feeling sorry for myself as we couldn’t celebrate our wedding anniversary as planned on Sunday, I decided to cheat on my reading pile. What shouted the loudest at me? The latest psych-thriller from Susie Lynes, which I did devour in two sittings, well more in a horizontal state! You can up catch my review that I posted yesterday.
My review for Begars Abbey will be up next Thursday (28th) on publication day. I’ll get my bum in gear and review Don’t Stop Me Now soon!
What am I reading next?!?
So these are my next two planned reads. The Vanishing Triangle is a nonfiction book from crime writer Clare McGowan which is out on 1 May. I’ll also be reading How To Spot A Psychopath for my stop on the blog tour on the 3rd – I love the vibrant yet simple cover and that’s before I get to read it!
So guys, what have you been reading??
