WWW Wednesdays (23 March 2022)! What are you reading this week? #WWWWednesdays

Welcome to this week’s WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words, the revamped take on of the meme hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm. It’s open for anyone to join in and is a great way to share what you’ve been reading!

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading?

I’m still working my way through my overloaded Netgalley shelf and Murder In The Morning by the late Betty Rowlands is the next one to be removed. Here’s the blurb:

Cream teas, buttered crumpets and a very curious crime…

Melissa Craig is settling in nicely to a new teaching position in the quaint little village of Upper Benbury, getting to know her way around, drinking tea with the eccentric staff, even sowing the first seeds of romance…

But when she arrives one morning to find police outside her classroom, Melissa is shocked to hear that her beautiful colleague Angelica has been found dead in her home.

As everyone in Angelica’s life comes under suspicion, Melissa makes it her mission to go in search of the truth, not least because she’s romantically entangled with none other than the police’s prime suspect.

The discovery of a vandalised portrait of the murdered girl might be just the clue that Melissa needs to clear her lover’s name, but when a second body surfaces, she knows she needs to act quickly. Can Melissa uncover the ugly truth in this beautiful village before another innocent life is taken?

Do you love murder mysteries by Agatha Christie, P.D. James and Faith Martin? If so, make this puzzling and absolutely page-turning whodunnit your next read!

This book was previously published as Finishing Touch.

What have I recently finished reading?

Well the girlie weekend away didn’t stop my reading…. It just may have been food and drinks menus but it was reading right 😂😂😂

On a more serious note, I only finished the one book this week, a massive distance from last week’s 5!!

What am I reading next?!?

I really enjoyed Laura Vaughan’s The Favour when I read it last year so when Corvus offered me an advanced e-copy of Let’s Pretend, I couldn’t say no !! It’s out April 7th so I’ll be sharing my thoughts then!

So guys, what have you been reading?? Tell me it’s more than food and drinks menus 😂😂

  1. Good weekend reading! I’m currently reading Richard King’s The Lark Ascending about the British countryside and music in the 20th century, and Erika L. Sánchez’ I am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, a sort of mystery/YA novel set in Chicago. I’ve been on a bit of a slow reading month which is Not Good!
