What Did I Think?

What a totally messed up story. Bejeezus!!!! What starts as a domestic noir type story takes one hell of a twisted, sinister and totally unexpected turn. The journey I went on with Louise, David and Adele was one hell of a trip, likening it to a rollercoaster just doesn’t come close to what I read!

The more I learnt about David and Adele’s relationship, the more I questioned what the individual narrative told me. Who was telling me the truth? And then there is the couple’s individual relationship with Louise. Lover, friend but neither really knowing about the other. Talk about being piggy in the middle.

But seriously, that ending!!! The hashtag it acquired is well and truly justified. I had to read the last chapter twice to make sure I had read what I’d read first time! I am soooooo glad I managed to avoid all spoilers!!!! Why do people have to go an give away the twists to books, films, series…. 🤬🤬🤬

I knew I was in for a treat with Behind Her Eyes after having read some of Pinborough’s other books but this was something else! After I’d finished, I had to sit in quiet, dissecting the proceedings I’d just finished. You have to read it to believe it!! I for one loved it!!!
