Whoooop whooop!! It’s time for #MusicMonday!! This is my weekly opportunity to share a track of my liking with you wonderful people under the meme created by Drew Weldon, The Tattooed Book Geek!
For my final instalment of #SoundtrackSeptember, I’ve picked the very haunting theme tune of one of my favourite programmes, the totally twisted Twin Peaks. I was obsessed as a teenager watching this programme, still love it now! The track gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it and in my head I can clearly see the images of the Twin Peaks sign and the haunting face of Laura Palmer when she’s first found … and then I found out electro-dance group Above and Beyond has done a cover; not as chilling but rather brilliant… enjoy…
Falling by Julee Cruise
Don’t let yourself be hurt this time
Don’t let yourself be hurt this time
Then I saw your face
Then I saw your smile
The sky is still blue
The clouds come and go
Yet something is different
Are we falling in love?
Don’t let yourself be hurt this time
Don’t let yourself be hurt this time
Then your kiss so soft
Then your touch so warm
The stars still shine bright
The mountains still high
Yet something is different
Are we falling in love?
Falling
Falling
Are we falling in love?
Falling
Falling
Are we falling in love?
Songwriters: David K. Lynch / Angelo Badalamenti

Weirdest show ever but I loved it! Have you read Tall Oaks? I bought it after reading We Begin at the End, and GR mentions Twin Peaks in the blurb, so I’m really curious to see if it really does have a Twin Peaks vibe.

I am on the last episode already. David Tennant is fantastic, he is the spitting image of Andrew Neilsen. I don’t know the entire history but I have “enjoyed” it. Very dark. xx
