Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you’re have a relaxing weekend! Today I’m thrilled to be welcoming the blog tour for Jean Levy’s Other Women.
Massive thanks to the fabulous Emily Glenister of The Dome Press for inviting me on the blog tour and my copy of Other Women.
Sophie thought she and Jonah were happy, bringing up their small daughter, until one summer’s day, she discovers that Jonah is far from the man she thought he was. Sam – an attractive English teacher – seems to offer her some comfort, and new friendships are a support. But is Sam really who he says he is? Where have her new friends appeared from? Is anyone telling the truth? As Jonah’s lies threaten Sophie and her daughter, can anyone be trusted?
What Did I Think?
So you think life is fine and dandy until your partner of 5 years comes home and starts packing, abandoning you with a small child. What do you do? You want answers right?! Sophie definitely did when Jonah came home and packed his bags. Why? has to be the biggest one right?! Did he ever love her? But the more Sophie digs into the why, the more lies she finds…
What a twisted web of deceit Jonah wove. With each chapter came a revelation of how secretive and how much of a compulsive liar this man is. Did anyone truly know the real Jonah? This man made my skin crawl with his level of deceit. If I were Sophie, I’d want to be as far away from this snake as possible but life doesn’t always give us what we want … and despite his betrayal, Sophie is still linked to Jonah with their cute daughter.
With all those around Sophie keeping secrets from her, my heart went out to her. She’s a good and trusting person; people like that shouldn’t be taken advantage of but oh so often they are. As I read, soooooo many questions bounced around my intrigued brain … none of which I’d want to share for fear of spoiling any part of this addictive taught psychological thriller. Levy has devised such a twisted tale of betrayal and trust with a rather unexpected climax. This is an another author going on my watch list for sure!
