It’s Tuesday!! I’m excited to be hosting the blog tour for Rachel Amphlett’s ninth(!) Kay Hunter novel (it’s the week for 9s).
Big thanks to Sarah Hardy of Book On The Bright Side Publicity for inviting me on the blog tour and for my advanced copy of Turn To Dust which I also bought from Amazon.
The Blurb
When the body of a naked man is found in the middle of a barren field, a rural community is left in shock – and fear.
Discovering that someone is offering money in return for information about the dead man and anyone connected to him, Detective Kay Hunter realises there is a dark side to the victim’s past.
When a key witness disappears and a web of deceit and lies threatens to derail the investigation, she fears the worst.
Can Kay and her team of detectives find out who is behind the man’s murder before another victim is targeted?
Turn to Dust is the ninth book in the Detective Kay Hunter series and perfect for readers who enjoy fast-paced murder mysteries.
The Detective Kay Hunter series – also available in print, large print and audiobook:
- Scared to Death
- Will to Live
- One to Watch
- Hell to Pay
- Call to Arms
- Gone to Ground
- Bridge to Burn
- Cradle to Grave
- Turn to Dust
What Did I Think?
Oh.My.Good.God!!!! why have I never read a Rachel Amphlett novel?!? I hang my head in shame!!! I personally give Ms Amphlett permission to slap me the next time she meets me (*antistalks Ms Amphlett forever more*) as I’m totally ashamed for never having read any of her books before…. Turn To Dust was brilliant.
The injuries sustained by our victim made me wince as I read the extent. The cause of his injuries confused the hell out of me… when you read this, you’ll understand!! This totally threw me and bugged me throughout!
I loved meeting Kay Hunter and the team for the first time. They’re a tight team, similar to one I’ve seen in my working life. One that has the level of camaraderie and trust that they’ll pull together no matter what to get the job done. It’s one I wouldn’t mind being part of though I’m no detective… other than the armchair/kindle type!!
I thoroughly enjoyed Turn To Dust despite it being the ninth in the series. I’ve not read any of the previous books but didn’t really feel I’d missed out in the mass omission in my reading ! If you love a good solid police procedural crime thriller, Kay Hunter is definitely worth a look in!
