Happy “hump” day everyone! We’re half way through the week and I’ve something a little different for you today, something a little lighter than normal….as you may have guessed from the picture above!
Many thanks to the fabulous Sarah Hardy of Book On The Bright Side Publicity for inviting me in the blog tour and for my e-copy of Six Steps To Happiness.
When Ronnie’s husband, Nick, leaves her for their next-door neighbour, Gaye, Ronnie’s life starts to fall apart.
Devastated by the break-up of her marriage, Ronnie is desperate for Nick and Gaye to set up home elsewhere. But Nick and Gaye won’t budge.
To add to her problems, Ronnie’s daughter and mother-in-law decide to stage an intervention. With her family keeping a close eye on her, Ronnie is forced to become more devious in her actions to get rid of Nick and Gaye.
But just how far will she go?
And is moving on ever that easy?
Six Steps to Happiness is a hilarious look at just how far one woman will go to recover from a broken heart and find happiness again.
What Did I Think?
Getting over a break up is never easy, even harder when your husband of 25 years leaves you for the woman next door #poorpoorRonnie.
What happens to Ronnie over the weeks following her husband’s surprise leap next door is a journey of self discovery with her daughter Willow and mother in law Bea leading the way. Now the route they take her on is an unusual one but the consequences of each of the six step program the have devised for her are brilliant. Designed to help her get her life back on track, Bea and Willow are a force that will not be defeated!!
The characters Suzie Tullett has created are brilliant. I loved Ronnie’s determination to oust her neighbours especially Operation Poltergeist. Bea and Willow’s tenacity to get Ronnie back on the road to happiness is endearing as they show how much they care for her.
Tullett has written a fab rom-com about life after marriage. I devoured the book in one sitting, clicking through the hilarious scenes of Ronnie’s life. I could picture this being made into a series for TV.
